Using Lorac 3D Glitter

I love Lorac's 3D glitter. It is such a unique product! It comes in a bottle in a liquid form and you dispense it using a dropper. The product is truly liquid. It is kind of hard to work with but, you can pick it up pretty easily. I use the technique shown by MakeUpGeekTV on youtube where you use a small amount of product and almost smush it between your fingers then apply it to your eyes.
When using the glitter always make sure to use as much precision as possible (it is very messy) and use a great eye primer. Normally I wear this product on it's own. In this photo I put it over a matte blue Too Faced Shadow. It could definitely use some more work on my part when putting it over the shadow. Anyways! It looks amazing alone I actually like that look better. However Lorac does show it being put over shadows. Use it however you want, just know that it is a unique product worth trying!!!

Getting Shellac for the first time!

So this Wednesday I had my first experience with a manicure and Shellac! The manicure was okay, I'm not really sure what I should have expected. She gave me an awkward light massage on my hands and arms afterward and it just seemed like a very abrupt ending.
Anyways, the Shellac experience was not all too bad! Shellac is much better for your nails than acrylics or gels and the upside is it's just your natural nail so it can be as long or as short as you'd like. As long as the manicurist can get under the edge of your nail, for me this meant getting a bit of polish on my skin, which she easily removed.
Something people may not like is sticking their hands under a UV lamp dryer for a total of 8 minutes. This manicurist in particular said some people had requested sun screen in the past, which to be honest I felt is pointless since your hands were only under the dryer for about thirty seconds at a time. This is because the Shellac is UV activated.
The Shellac seemed a bit stickier than regular nail polish but went on pretty easily. I would have appreciated another coat of black because on some of the nails I can see through the polish but overall the polish looks good and so far no chips or anything.
This stuff is supposed to stay on for TWO WEEKS, which seems awesome and just for everyone's sake I'm going to see how far I can push it's time limit and do weekly posts on it's stay power.
Overall I like the shellac very much! I think I will go to a different person this next time because I like my polish to go all the way over the nail. (I can see an obvious line between my skin and nail, not a close one either)
This manicure was $20 and I tipped $5, normally it would be $30 at this particular salon but the manicurist was running a special. Scope out prices in your area before you go ahead and get Shellac done. Also make sure when you choose a manicurist you are comfortable with them in their salon!

Purple look from Sigma Flare Palette

-These pics are my own, products mentioned are from Sigma Beauty, link mentioned is my Affiliate link so please click!- So I created this look using the Sigma "Flare" palette and let me tell you this brand puts out amazing products! I would love to go into the details of how I did this but I think I may post a video eventually of how to do this. I used the right side of the palette, all the purple colors. I wasn't sure I would use the bright one called Allure but it ended up being a great transition/blending color. I used Resist in the crease blended upward. Beware as a brow highlight and inner corner and a little beyond shade. Gossip on the outer corner, Allure to blend the colors Beware and Gossip. It ended up awesome, the colors were gorgeous and blendable. I highly recommend Sigma products.
